Features

Four jobs, one admin page

Most buildings end up with a signage service, a casting box in every meeting room, a separate alert system and room panels from yet another vendor. Vistapane does all four, and you can run it from your phone.

Signage that runs itself

Upload images, videos, PDFs and web dashboards, arrange them into playlists, and schedule what plays where. Screens update the moment you save.

  • Layouts with a main zone, sidebar and scrolling ticker, a split or a 4-up grid
  • Clocks, live weather, countdowns, announcements and RSS headlines
  • Schedules by day, time and date range, including overnight
  • Operating hours, so screens go dark when the building closes

How it works

From a spare PC to a working sign in an afternoon

Install Vistapane on a PC you already have, and every display finds it on the network. Or let us do it for you.

  1. 1

    Start the server

Run Vistapane on any Windows PC that stays on. It prints the address of your admin page.

Pricing

One server. Every screen.

Most signage software charges for every screen, every month. Vistapane is one yearly license per server, and every screen, room sign and screen share is included. Add support or installation if you want them.

On per-screen plans, that's about

$2,880/year

$2,160 for signage at a typical $9 per screen per month, plus $720 for casting at about $120 per room per year.

With Vistapane, all of it is one server license. Your 150th screen costs the same as your first.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Something else? Write to hello@vistapane.com.

Does Vistapane need an internet connection?

Not for your content. Everything runs on your local network, and display PCs never need internet access. The server checks its license with us every few minutes and stays licensed for 30 days if it loses its connection. It also uses the internet for the weather and RSS widgets. For networks with no internet at all, we offer an offline license.

Is there really no limit on screens?

None. A server license covers every display, room tablet and screen share that server runs. If you have several sites, each site with its own server needs its own license. Ask us about pricing for several sites.

Do I need a support plan?

No. Every license includes updates and help getting started. Support plans are for teams that want us to keep the system up to date and watch it for them. You can start or stop one any month.

What happens if the server goes down?

Displays keep playing their last content, even after a reboot. When the server comes back they reconnect on their own and pick up any changes.

Does screen sharing go through the cloud?

No. The video goes directly from the laptop to the display over your network. The Vistapane server only connects the two. The laptop and display need to be on the same network, so guest Wi-Fi that isolates devices won't work.

Can I show dashboards and web pages?

Yes. Power BI reports published to the web, Grafana and most intranet pages work well. Some sites, such as Google and many banks, block being shown inside other pages.

How do I roll the player out to lots of PCs?

Vistapane Player installs silently from the command line, so you can push it with Intune, Group Policy or your RMM tool: VistapanePlayer.exe --install --quiet --server vistapane-server:8080

Is there a hosted version?

Not yet. Vistapane runs on your own network today. A hosted option is planned at vistapane.cloud.
